Recipes

Every recipe states how far it has been tested. There is no untagged default: 0 cooked, 12 adapted, 1 untested.

The tiers, and what they mean

Cooked
Actually made, photographed and dated, with notes on what happened. A submission qualifies as Cooked with four things and nothing more: a photo, the date, what was changed, and what went wrong. The count is shown — “Cooked ×7” is a stronger signal than “Cooked”.
Adapted
A conversion of an established dish, where the underlying technique is already known-good and the substitution is the only novel part. Every adapted recipe names what it came from and lists each substitution with the reasoning behind it, at the bottom of the page. An adapted recipe without that provenance is untested.
Untested
Drafted, not yet made. Readable and honest about what it is. Untested recipes will never enter a generated shopping list.
